“Never Let’em Forget”

We lost Billy on December 28th, 2006 in Fallujah, Iraq. He was killed by sniper fire while trying to rescue a fellow Marine. Billy was going to continue his college career upon his return from Iraq. Unfortunately that did not happen.

It is with great honor that our family has established “The LCPL Billy Spencer Scholarship Foundation”. Not only is this a fitting tribute to our hero and his legacy but it will enable some of our future leaders to receive an education.

Our main goal is to provide as many students as possible with a $1000 scholarship. Our children deserve a chance to further their education. It is our sincerest hope that this scholarship will provide additional opportunites for young people to further their education and so that the military won't have to be their only option.
